Support for Users of Statewide Computer Systems

In this statewide project, a PDP staff located at OTDA’s main offices in Albany works closely with state systems staff on the design, development, testing, training and provision of technical assistance related to the gradual implementation of the new Welfare-to-Work Caseload Management System (WTWCMS).

This browser-based PC application is being rolled out statewide in the operation of varied welfare employment programs. Activities include working on all aspects of the system's foundation of eight User Functions, seven Administrative Functions and a (local) Provider Directory. The system was successfully piloted during the 2002 contract year. Currently PDP staff performs liaison and technical assistance duties associated with the gradual statewide expansion and use of WTWCMS, an intensive effort that requires extensive communication with users in local social services districts and their affiliates.
