Welfare Fraud Training and Technical Assistance Initiatives
Helping welfare fraud investigators improve work performance
New York State is in the forefront of establishing programs to ensure the integrity of public assistance programs including food stamps and temporary cash assistance. Working in partnership with OTDA state staff, including audit and quality control staff, PDP curricula designers, developers and trainers prepare and deliver education and training that provides the requisite knowledge, skills and attitudes to state and local district staff involved in the prevention, identification and prosecution of welfare fraud.
The primary training program for this initiative is the performance-based Welfare Fraud Investigator Training Institute. Additional welfare fraud related courses may also be available for delivery regionally or locally in special topics, as well as specialized sessions specifically tailored for staff who conduct audits.Contact Us for more information.
