Salary: $12-$15 per hour

The Professional Development Program of the University at Albany’s Rockefeller College is seeking an Intern/Research Aide with a strong background in statistics and working with databases to provide assistance to the Commissioner's Office of the NYS Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA). This is a paid internship, working up to 20 hours per week at $12- $15 per hour up to 40 hours bi-weekly.  The internship is expected to begin as soon as filled and will last through the summer with the possibility of being extended through the fall semester; however, specific job tasks may vary during this timeframe.

Job Summary

Duties include assisting in the day-today operation of the Public Information Office.  This includes media relations, drafting and editing documents, planning and coordinating press and outreach events and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Full-time University at Albany student.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and the Internet (Word, Access, and Outlook proficiency in particular).
  • Good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Experience providing excellent customer service.
