The Professional Development Program’s Instructional Technologies Unit seeks a highly organized, creative individual to manage a large-scale curriculum development project. The successful candidate will work with contributors from a multi-state partnership to create a comprehensive curriculum on STD partner services and prepare it for translation to e-learning modules for new workers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proven ability to guide multiple partners in developing a successful final product. Position requires exceptional project management and writing skills and a strong background in instructional design for the web. Functions include project management, coordination of project partners, and scripting content for web delivery. This is a full time position on a short – term basis.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in curriculum, instructional design, teaching or related field from a college or university accredited by a USDOE recognized organization, or Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 or more years in curriculum development for adult learners.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse team, create project schedules, solve problems and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to organize information for a visual medium, write clearly and effectively, and communicate concepts to others.
- Subject matter expertise in public health, preferably STD prevention.
- Applicants must address in their applications their ability to work with culturally diverse populations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in creating content for self-paced online learning as evidenced by a portfolio of work
- Experience using a commercial content authoring package.
- Familiarity with creating content that is accessible to persons with disabilities.

Salary will be negotiated dependent on experience and project work, but is expected to be in the low to mid 60’s. This is a full-time position on a short-term basis that requires some travel.
