• The purpose of the PDP Albany Training Center is to provide education and training services to our customers and constituents in an environment that is conducive to adult learning.
• The PDP Albany Training Center is primarily used to support PDP projects and interests, with priority given to contract deliverables.
• Other University at Albany or PDP project sponsor requests for training center use may be considered as well as accommodated if space is available and if the event or purpose of requested use is compatible with PDP's mission and the PDP Albany Training Center's purpose.
• The PDP Albany Training Center is comprised of four training/meeting rooms of varying size and capacity, depending on room set-up specifications and intended use, as well as a kitchenette available to all training center customers.

• This state-of-the-art training and meeting facility is available for use by PDP staff and project sponsors, as well as by the University at Albany for mission-compatible purposes and subject to availability.
• There is an on-line room availability calendar for each training/meeting room and availability is displayed for four months out from the current month.
• Each on-line room availability calendar is updated daily, but will not reflect requests that are under consideration.
• "Unavailable" time slots are only posted to the on-line room reservation calendar once reservations are formally accepted and an e-mail confirmation has been sent to the “requestor” (the individual who request the room reservation).

• The PDP Albany Training Center is outfitted with some of the latest adult learning technology, including video conferencing and SmartBoard™ technologies.
• UAB Room 433 and Room 437, the two larger training/meeting rooms, contain some fixed A/V equipment.
• Portable A/V equipment is also available for reservation and use in UAB Room 433 and Room 437 as well as in the two smaller rooms, UAB Room 431 and Room 432.
• Individual laptops and/or projectors may also be used, if preferred.
• An on-line Equipment Manual provides easy to follow instructions for Training Center equipment use and is available on the PC desktops in UAB Room 433 and Room 437 as well as by clicking on the tab to the left.

• Food is permitted in the PDP Albany Training Center and event organizers may arrange for catering services.
• A kitchenette is available and shared by all four training/meeting rooms.
• The kitchenette has two entrances and is accessible from the main hallway as well as from Room 437.
• All event organizers (regardless of agency affiliation) are responsible for making their own catering arrangements for events held in the PDP Albany Training Center.
• Chartwells (located on the University at Albany campus) is the preferred caterer for the PDP Albany Training Center; however, you are free to use other caterers.

• Event parking is available on-site in the "Administration Gold Lot" with the red and white "Professional Development Program Trainee Parking" sign.
• Temporary University parking passes will be provided by PDP via e-mail to event organizers in advance of events for distribution by event organizers as needed.
• All event attendees parking on-site must park as instructed and place their valid Temporary University Parking Pass on their dashboard, visibly displaying the unique pass number, name of event, and event date(s).
• Event attendees (organizers or trainees) may not park in “Visitor Parking” or “Administration Purple/Staff Parking” areas surrounding the University Administration Building (UAB) or Management Services Center (MSC).
• Because the PDP Albany Training Center is located on the University at Albany campus, all University Parking Regulations are in effect and must be followed and violators will be subject to individual parking fines.

• PDP is not responsible for any violations or fines incurred by individuals or groups while attending events at the PDP Albany Training Center.

• Event organizers may reconfigure training/meeting rooms in order to accommodate event needs; however, it is expected that the rooms will be returned by users/organizers to the primary room configuration immediately upon event conclusion.
• After use, event organizers are expected to leave training/meeting rooms and the kitchenette in “event ready” condition (the same condition and room configuration found in prior to event).
• Cleaning supplies and trash receptacles are available in the kitchenette to support event organizers and other room users in cleaning up after their events.

• All event organizers and attendees must adhere to PDP Albany Training Center & University at Albany Policies when planning or attending an event held in our facility.
• The PDP Albany Training Center is part of PDP’s professional, business office environment and there are certain expectations for all individuals/groups who use the space, including:
  • Noise level should be kept to a minimum.
  • Attendees should remain in public spaces and not wander beyond the immediate training center rooms/vicinity.
  • Cell phones should not be used in PDP or UAB hallways.
  • There are no public phones, photocopy facilities, or computers available for checking e-mails in the PDP Albany Training Center or the University Administration Building.
• The University Administration Building, the PDP main office, and the PDP Albany Training Center are accessible to individuals with disabilities.
• Restrooms for UAB and PDP visitors are available on the 4^th and 3^rd floors:
  • The 4^th floor restrooms are in the main hall, directly across from the PDP Albany Training Center.
  • The 3^rd floor restrooms are in the main hall and include an additional separate and fully wheelchair accessible restroom.
• Two elevators and two stairwells are available for UAB and PDP visitor use.
• PDP staff are available on-site to address questions or concerns.
