"The Nelson A. Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy at the University at Albany is proud to be among the top schools of public affairs in the country. We prepare students to contribute to public service in a myriad of ways—as citizens, as professionals and as future educators. The Professional Development Program advances this mission by providing award-winning continuing professional education to the public service. Its capacity to offer high quality training for the public workforces has been one of its most outstanding features."

"The Professional Development Program has established a national reputation for excellence in the field of continuing professional education. I'm extremely proud of the numerous kudos and awards that this outstanding program has earned. Our ongoing pursuit of excellence in providing high quality, state-of-the-art education and training programs for employees of public and voluntary agencies continues to be exciting and challenging. During the past year, we offered over 3500 instructional events in areas such as early childhood education, child welfare, public administration, and computer training enrolling over 68,000 trainees. Central to our mission is to improve the skills and knowledge of the public workforce and we work at achieving this daily."
